I was always under the impression that the bonded shockwaves were for hard to penetrate game animals. I sure would not put a white tail in that group. My fear with them is they will hit and poke a hole though the body.
I am not saying they will not work well for you. Shot placement like all things is critical. You should get pass through with them, but I have no working knowledge of them and how they expand. For White tail deer under 100 yards, I'd be shooting a simple 300 grain XTP or Speer Gold Dot in .430 diameter with about 80-90 grains of powder. That should hit, expand, and plant them there.
Actually I shoot a rifle that throws large chunks of lead. Your KRB is supposed to be a conical shooter and might be something you want to try. Where I hunt, I need to plant them on a path or be ready for a lot of work getting them out of the tangle...
