RE: Whisker Biscuit or Drop Away?
I have no doubt that a good model/design drop away is a more accurate rest than the WB. Having said that, I have used both and hunt exclusively with a WB.
I have stated before, I do not consider myself an archer but rather a bowhunter. The WB, imo is a much simpler and overallbetter choice for most hunting situations(at least for me), but if I was a competitive shooter, I would have to go with a drop away hands down.
But I have a question for you JLA, you say that the drop away is much quieter.
I have not experienced that. I have used the Trophy Taker and the Dropzone and I found both made MORE noise when the arrow was being drawn back than that of my WB. I put teflon coating on the TT and the Dropzone already came with some type teflon/rubber coating, and they were still noisier in the drawing phase IMO.
What am I doing wrong or missing with the TT and Dropzone that makes the arrow cause to much abrasion/noise during the draw? I am shooting carbon arrows.
