The link you provided was of a drop away I would never use due to the fact that the prongs on that thing were too long and yes they would hit the vanes.
I had a trophy ridge dropzone on my bowtech black knight for about 2 days and had to go to the limb driver because my fletches were hitting on the way out.With speed bows you need to make sure that even with a drop away it needs to get of the way in time,some are much slower than others.
