Default RE: draw weight

I've hunted with 60# bows for several years (typically producing about 60 LB of KE), penetration on deer has not been a problem.
My current bows are 60# peak weight. One is maxed at 58# and the other is backed off to 56#.
My 58# bow with a 29'' draw is producing 74 LB of KE with a 390 gr. arrow.
An average 70# 29'' draw bowmight make about the same power (74 LB KE) as my bow pulling 58#
The power of A 60# bow with an IBO of 315 fps is quite different from one with an IBO of 340+
I can use some of the bows I owned in the past as an example: Mathews LX, Mathews Switchback, Switchback XT, those bows had IBO ratings around 315 and they produced 60-62 LB of KE when set on 60# 29'' draw.
If the 60# bow is producing 60 LB of KE you will haveplenty ofpower.
