Default RE: Soybeans in NY

Chicory is a good companion crop and should work good with soybeans. Its a perenial as well, so it will come back next year - making the plot a good canidate for frost seeding clover in late winter (or an early spring overseeding)

I've tried turnips for several years - and I'm never really happy with how the deer od use them (always late) - but they do use them at some point. I get my turnips in fall mixes with brassicas - I've used Shot Plot - which is mostly tunips - and a couple other mixes like Green Patch plus - and a Gander mountain blend. I've got the from Walmart, Gander Mountain in Cicero, and The DeRuyter Co-op (old agway).
