Quik, I won't disagree with a thing you said in your last paragraph:

Greg - you're acting like I've murdered this man's entire family, poisoned his dogand tipped over his grandmother's wheelchair. Meanwhile, all I did was ask "why so damn expensive?" I feel like that's a very fair question, especially given how much we've heard about this camo (and how great it is) over the past couple years - and the sticker-shock that I got when I finally went to their site to scope it out.

Personally, I'm quite satisfied with the answers I've gotten so far. Is it enough to make me want to rush out and buy a set? No. But can I at least see why somebody else would? Sure.

If nobody ever played a little devil's advocate, we'd never get these answers, nowwould we? Part of having an actual fair & balanced conversation is exploring the unexplored and representing the underrepresented.
Except for "acting like I murdered the man."

It's ok then for you to come on and misrepresent his company -- as pointed out by both Whitehorn and myself -- and cast it in a disparaging light and for me not to come on because I possess factual knowledge of both the company and his product and not set the record straight?

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with playing devil's advocate, and I totally agree. Thankfully, there was some here who could speak factually about the company, its processes and its products. But representing the underrepresented? Who would that be, Quik? Those who can't afford to pay for the quality that GWW builds into its garments? Sounds like a classic case of class envy to me. And I'm sure YOU could afford them if you chose to; that must mean your truer intentions lie along the lines of a certain political party which wins votes every four years by pointing out how well "they" have it.

True intelligence is looking at the evidence accordingly and weighing it fairly -- not opening the conversation with preconcieved notions and hidden agendas, nor is it begrudging the fact that the man has a successful company with legions of loyal customers, satisfied with both their purchases and the price they paid for it. Kid yourself or your readers if you want to, but if you were looking for real answers in your initial query you would have done as Whitehorn suggested and compared "apples to apples" and not mass-produced, made-overseas clothing lacking both the attention to detail and quality put individually into each of GWW's products, nor would you have played your "bait and switch" game with the descriptions and prices shown. Looking objectively at the evidence would have mandated you compare the clothing to like-textured fabrics with similar properties. Then, we could have agreed your premise was to uncover answers.

Or was it just laziness and you wanted me to do all that for you? If so... that's hardly me "acting like you murdered a man." It's someone with factual knowledge setting the record straight, and helping to educate the public to the truth about a company that isn't the darling of mainstream media because it sinks its profits back into its clothing and processes, not its advertising.
