I am very new to muzzleloading and have a question about sighting in my scope to shoot 100 yds. I have a TC Encore with a Nikon ProStaff shooting 100 gr Triple 7 and pushing a 250gr SW super glide. I am getting good groups of three (allwithin an inch diameter)about 2-2.5 inches abouve the bull at 50 yrds. Can anyone tell me were the POA mightbe at 100 yds?
I dropped your numbers into
http://www.sav10ml.com/pages/load_data/traj_basic_dat.html
with 150 zero 250g bullet 1800 MV and bc of .184, SW has listed BC of .210 for 250g but
Chuck Hawks says it is .184, so I will go with the more conservative figure. I believe your 3.4" high at 100. Your MPBR (Maximum Point Blank Range) aiming dead on is 175 yards, with this load. Need to verify the MV of 1800 fps, which is my guess as to what 100g 777 is shooting with 250g SW. I think your good with that.
