RE: 50 vs 100
Here's what has worked well for me. Those of us who have shot a bunch of black powder, ML know that the pressures can vary a bit and widen the range of muzzle velocities more so than smokeless. Just not quiet as precise.
So prior to every season I sight in dead on at 75 yards. I shoot probably 20-30 rounds and sort of "average" my 75 yard zero until I am satisfied I am about right on. I then check 5 shots each at 25 yard intervals out to 175 yards. I type these up on card stock. Laminate the "card". Tape it to the stock of my rifle just in case I had time to range, read and adjust.
