Welcome to the board B.A.Josh.The 300 Win Mag is allot of gun for whitetails.The Browning A Bolt, Remington 700 are both great guns.Don't over look the Ruger's and Winchester's.Depending on the kind of money you want to spend.Sako's & Weatherby's are top of the line also.The Remington "Core Lokt" are well made ammunition.When you get your new rifle you may want to try different bullets weights and brands to see which one shoots the best.I hope you find a rifle that fits your needs.
