RE: Okay, "semi" Heavy.
I'd say 62# @ 460 is a tad heavy, but the 280 makes up for it. I'm typically around 440@ 68# and 285. Seems to have the right mix of speed/flight/hit. Most guys unawae of the third factor will sacrifice it not knowing that the ability to hit the thing square is far more important than punch. The drop of a heavy arrow for most of us distance challenged hunters isn't good.
With all this talk of punch going on you'd think the deer which require far less punch have been geneticlly altered to be some kind of super beast.
Ay any rate it should be some fun slinging one of those at a deer. I still have some 2216's. Shot at stuff with them last year, it was fun. They did not penetrate as well as the lighter smaller diameter carbons. ( by lighter I mean around 440, the 16's were over 560)
