Anybody who takes a 100 yard shot on a deer with a bow deserves to have their bowhunting privelages revoked IMO.

I don't care if you are literally the world's greatest archer. You're a moron if you do that and you woudn't be welcomed in our camp. It's that simple.

In reality Germ makes a great point. There was what 18 or so of us who shot at that target, many shot more than once. So figure some 36 arrows were loosed at that target from some very fine shooters in near perfect conditions at an unlive target. It was hit once. And Even that shoot wasn't lethal. I do shoot out to 100 yards once I'm practicing for the seaon, Just for fun. I have pins out to 50 or sometimes 60 yards but those are strictly for Yotes or practice. I agree with the philosophy of shooting at 60 makes 30 much easier.

My effective range may be from10~ 40 depending on so many factors.
