The gas prices will not affect my time in the field at all.........but my job will!

I am scheduled for back surgery again on August 21 and when I do finally get to return to work, I will be on light duty for quite some time which means I will be working 8-5 Monday through Friday. Not a big deal to most of you, but as a fireman, I am used to only working 10 shifts a month and having the other 20 days to pursue the whitetail! Kind of spoiled I guess...but that's really the only schedule that I've known for the last 8 years or more. So there will be an adjustment for me this year....but it's not going to be due to the rising gas prices.
