I hunt mornings in the early season mainly to try and kill does but I understand why you don't like AM hunts Greg until late Oct, man, early season AM hunts can be miserable.
The main reason that I don't hunt mornings until later in the season is because I don't hunt does until gun season or late bow season. This is because the does are my "bait" during the rut. I don't want to risk messing up my area by killing does and letting the deer know that I'm there hunting until after I kill a nice buck. Besides, the bucks that I'm after are usually bedded before first light in the mornings during the early part of the season. There seems to be a better chance of catching a good buck during daylight in the evenings during the early part of the season.
