I haven' t turkey hunted in several years (deer bowhunting is my obsession), but got back into it and killed one this year. I took it with a Winchester 3" magnum #6 shell that was probably 10 years old. I was ammazed at the high tech loads that are out there now from Federal, Winchester, Remington and others. Save me some shoulder work and tell me what' s working the best for you or at least help me narrow down the field. I shoot a Remington 11-87 with a Hastings extra-full tube and am partial to #6 shot. Is the 2oz. shot load or maximum velocity with 1-3/4 the way to go? Sorry for asking as this question, as I know it has probably been " asked to death" , but like I said I' ve been out of it awhile.
