RE: Remington 798 vs 700?
I would take a mauser 98 action over a 700 action any day. Why do you thing there are so many aftermarket accessories available for the 700. I'm not saying that a 700 isn't a quality firearm but when you can have a design that hasn't needed change in over 100 years you just can't beat that. Just try feeding a round into the chamber at odd angles with a 700 or any push feed action and you'll soon appreciate the control round push feed design of the mauser. This is the ugly green monster trying to take market share from the other mauser based manufacturers. Why do you think they had to make a move like this, they're quality control as of late has been abissmal and they are losing market share.
