Not sure if that would work, but it might. I would get a timed feeder, about $40, and mount it on the bottom of a plastic barrel. Then set it to feed chops or chicken scratch feed about 7 in the morning. Once the turkeys find it they will be close by when the feeder goes off. Deer won' t mess with the chops or scratch feed, the coons won' t be likely to feed heavily that time of day and the turkeys will get it before the crows and other birds get to it. Hang the feeder from a limb or leaning tree or the hogs will tear it up. They will tear down your pvc pipe.
