anybody have any ideas on makin a feeder that only turkeys could feed from?
I know crows and different birds will get to it, but I mean a feeder that would allow turkeys to feed, but not hogs, deer, and coon.
I was thinkin of takin a piece of 4" PVC pipe, and put about 1 1/2 feet in the ground, and fill it up with dirt to about 5' above the ground. the PVC would extend on up to about 7' high. that would leave about 2' to fill up with corn. have a 1/2" or 3/4" hole drilled in the PVC just above the 5' mark. then have a chunk of fire wood laid on the ground where the turkeys could jump up on and reach the hole and peck out the corn. this way, it would be to high for deer and hogs to reach, and I don' t think coons can climb that PVC pipe. what do ya' ll think? would that work? would the turkeys ever learn how to get the corn out?
