I like to have 2-3 in the freezer every year and then I make it a mission to make sure it's all cleaned out by hunting season.
I am the only one who eats it and I think I need to ease up on the processed stuff a bit (bologna, sausage,jerky etc) and get back to good ol' grilling and roasting.
I've been on a roll of marinading and grilling up the rest of the doe I shot in IL last year and holy crap is it good.[:-]
I've eaten 4 steaks and a whole backstrap in the last few days with tenderloins thawing and another 2 pack of steaks.Those IL does are gonna be in trouble this year.
And no way is anyone going to get me to say that Rob's bologna tastes good. [
