I do not shoot the KRB either but I do a shirt tale relative. I have a Knight Extreme with the fluted MHC barrel. My Knight really likes powder... I shoot 120 grains of T7-2f and have found that load works best with the bullets I choose to shoot.

For a less expensive bullet I really do prefer Speer Gold Dots. I shoot both the .452/250 grain and the .452/300 grain Gold Dot. They are really accurate for me.

I have purchased a box of .429/270 grain Gold Dots to do some shooting with. This may be the best "deer" class bullet of the bunch but I personaly have not tested it yet. The soft lead nose and the fact that Gold Dots are bonded bullets really enhance their performance in an animal whether you hit bone or not.

I use a MMP HPH-24 sabot for the .452 bullets and the MMP HPH 44/50 green sabot for the 44's.

My real go to bullets are Nosler Partitions... .451/260 for deer and .458/300 grain (45-70 rifle bullet) for elk.

Good luck in your search and have fun shooting....
