I'm a little ashamed that there hasn't been more support for this.

Some more info would be helpful:

Where is his state residency? (ohio...?)
Is he hunter safety qualified?
Does he have his own usable gun?
Is it going to be a big deal if he misses a day or two of school?

My closest opportunity is in Keyser, WV (240 miles from him and and 340 from me).
