RE: 165 gr or 180 gr.?
when I think 300 magnum, I think 180grs, and a .300 weatherby is the original .300 super magnum, so to use less than 180 out of any .300 super mag.....I can't imagine, even 200grs would be a sweet setup for the big stuff.
Even my .300 win mag I won't bother with less than 180grs, if using 150grs or 165 might as well use a .30-06 or .270.
