Yellow heart and paduka is a good contrast. I made a riser once with yellow heart, purlple heart and maple. All vertical press rather than horizontal pressed. It was real cool. I think ill have to do it agian. I just hate working with purple heart. Only wood harder is iron wood or ebony. Which are real cool woods too, but are a killer on your machines.
