Downtown Chicago here, if I want to even think about hunting, it's an hour and a half to pheasant hunt public land. The only deer property I have access too is 5 hours away in Michigan. I would give my big toe for some hunting ground within an hour and a half of Chicago, but there is either not enough land, to tough to get permission or leases are way to expensive.
