RE: What are the laws in your area about a bow in the truck?
Wow. That is ridiculous. Once I found myself in a situation that was totally innocent but looked bad. I was practicing at the range one day a few weeks before the season opened and when I was done, I threw my cased bow into my truck. That same day, I went to trim shooting lanes at a WMA. I put my bow in the cab of my truck, got my climber outand made sure I had good shots from a tree I intended to hunt from when the season opened. When I was done, A conservation officer happened to be driving by when I had my climber on the ground and had just taken my bow out of the cab. Well, I briefly explained myself and had no trouble at all. In fact, the officer recognized me because I had run into him a week before. He was in plain clothes then and training his dog in the general area that I was scouting so I didn't recognize him until he asked if that was me he ran into last week. He turned out to be a good guy.
