Now, about that double decker lowerarm bar........didn't your momma tell you not to play with fire??
As a matter of fact, she did. Then I became a firefighter, so lot of good it did her....

I could not agree w/ you more on the sense of false security w/ a cheap hard case. You are absolutely, w/out question, 100% right. As are you about folks mishandling their equipment. You take care of yours, and that's a good thing. I hope that it's never a problem for you. I just don't trust them. I take care of my equipment as well, I'm very proud of my gear. I guess it's a personal thing, just like everything else in the world of archery, but I sleep better at night KNOWING my bow is as safe as I can make it.
Yep Mobow, I think we are both of the same thinking here. It's hard for me to comprehend some of this because I treat my bows/guns with the utmost care. Don't get me wrong a cheap plastic case will protect your bow just fine....as long as folks know the limitations of the case. I was just getting the impression (not from you) that folks think them plastic cases are sturdy enough to handle them roughly......their not.

If I were the type to put my bow in the back of my truck, it would be in a sturdy metal airline quality case no doubt.

This is what I have for both my bows and guns. They work great and are super sturdy, it even has wheels.
