You could over seed it closer to the fall if over grazing becomes an issue, just broadcast more seed before a good rain without tilling. No need to fertilize on new soil but if you really wanted you could get a 55lb bag of 10-10-10 and divide it between the 2 plots in a month or so. Good luck.
