I hope all goes well with your future surgery. Don' t let it get you discouraged and don' t alway believe what the doctors tell you. Alot of what they do is guesswork and they aren' t always right.

Hang in there, you' ll shoot again. As for poundage, I believe that 40-45 pounds is the minimum for whitetail. As stated above, it will require some patience and discipline but at least it gets you in the field.
