Default RE: I need encouragement and advice

Thanks for the info WHO-
I guess my case was a little weird because I was showing multiple symptoms but very little " evidence" . I had an MRI and Arthroscopy done- and both came back from the Radiologist as normal. The scope was done based on physical exam findings VS the MRI/arthroscopy. Both Drs(whom I have known for 3 years and send us a lot of their PTs (I work in their hospital) and I have always had considerable faith in were really unsure what exactly was wrong- although they both feared multiple injuries. The scope was done with an effort to further diagnose the injury(s). I was told before I went under that they planned to 1st look for a SLAP tear and fix it , then they were going to search forother problems (impingment - which the MRI did show a slight imp. if I understand correctly) and other possibilities). When they scoped me- they found 3 Labrial tears and a totally/partially (I' m unclear how detached it was ) detatched Bicep tendon. After repairing the labrium and reatatching the tendon- as I understand it the decision was made to not perform an open procedure and search any farther because they both felt completely confident that my problem was solved and fixed. However- I still have a lot of the same symptoms that I had before the surgery- but some have gone away. I also had an incident 2 weeks post op that He believes reinjured my Tendon. I spillede a huge cup off hot coffee in my lap and as a result jumped and reflexivly threw my arm up causing severe pain to my shoulder- the pain has really never left since then- and he fears thay I at least partially detached part of my Tendon. I will find out more today- but if I understand him correctly- he said that he can scope me again and a just completly detach the tendon- but that he can not go back in the review the Cuff tear until 6 months after the original surgery. Why I don' t know- I' m not sure if it has to do with healing or time consrtaints (we are all active duty military and we are down several Drs who were deployed to the gulf). He is also sending me to a nurologist to try to explain some apparent nerve damage (my hand keeps going numb in certain areas) which he thinks probably has more to do with my rollover MVA I had a week before my sceduled surgery. He has discussed the possibilty of doing something called a bursectomy (i think) and a clavicle resection- but I' m sortof unclear what these will do- I hopefully will have a better understanding today. Thanks for the help- any additional info would be greatly appreciated.
