My vote goes to the 22mag. I've never owned a 17 because all my buddys do, and they are pretty much worthless when the wind blows everyday. Good luck putting that lil 17gr bullet where it needs to be with a crosswind over 5mph.
Never had a problemwith wind up to 15mph at 150yds.I doubt your mag will do much different then the .17with wind drift other then mabelonger distances.
