Most spoons do not require weight but must be fished in the strike zone, You can crank it in slowly as you should so it wobbles, Troll behind a downrigger and cannon ball or use a keel sinker, if you have to you can clip some split shots about 20 inches up the line. You can also use an inline or trolling sinker attached to your line then tie on a leader and your spoon. Also wire or monel line can be used if trolling. I gave you all these option cause you didn' t say what you' ll be fishing for or if in Fresh or Salt water.
