They can pinpoint an area. Moreover... turkeys (real ones) don't stand still for half an hour while a gobbler moseys over from where ever he was. So he goes to the area he knows the bird was.... and he sees the decoys... Once he has seen it, he knows exactly where it is.... wouldn't you do the same thing if you were looking for someone?
