Henned up, is exactly why the get quiet after coming off the roost. When on the roost they are letting the hens in the area know where they are, then quit often they go quietshortly after theyhit the ground and expect the hens to come to them. They may come part way, but they want the hems to come in to them. Later in the morning/day they may go to gobbling again after they have done their breeding, looking for new hens.
