Sounds like a crock to me. I have one on video last year gobble 7 times in succession. The crows were driving him crazy. He probably gobbled 15 times during that particularminute. I've got all the proof on video. I'll go back and look at the video and see how many times he gobbled in that minute.
For anyone who really cares, I watched my video. He gobbled 16 times in that particular minute. At one time within that minute he gobbled 8 times in succession. Also within that same minute, he did a triple gobble. I believe for a fact, that statement is definately false. BTW, I never killed that bird last year and he gobbled his head off all season. He gobbled a lot, although not quite as much as he did last year, this season. Just like last season though, he moved to a lease next to my land and some yahoo shot him off his roost one morning. He was one smart bird. These guys couldn't kill him the right way, so they cheated. I was pissed. He would have eventually come back to my property. I was really looking forward to chasing him again this year. I even had my plans mapped out for this one particularbird, and this idiot had to go and ruin everything. There is no law in Louisiana stating you can't shoot one off its roost, so I really couldn't say anything to the guy. I'm still upset about it. I wouldn't have minded if he would have called the bird in and shot him, but shooting this bird off his roost, man that pisses me off[:@]. Enough venting, there will be other gobblers.
