Thanks for the input, salukipv1. A 3x9 seems to be a standard size...I guess I'm wondering what kind of difference I'd notice in those tight and close situations with a 3x as opposed to a 2x or even a 1.5?

At this time, I don't foresee myself going out west (but who knows?) I probably won't venture off my dad's small piece of property much in Michigan.
