I also live and hunt in Fla.and have never had aproblem with thr rattlers.yes there are a bunch around,but I just don't worry about them.I have only came close to steping on him.
we kill a few each year and no one in our area has been bitten.
if it bothers you get the boots,if not don't spend the $$$.
