I think its like politics, we wonder, what were they thinking? haha. I don't get either at times. I think we all just wish we ran the show at times.

I'd love a .416 Ruger, but unless its produced I don't plan to build a wildcat of one.

Also I think when manufacturers all build the same thing, it could lead to a combined failure, vs. 1 taking the lead and the rest falling by the wayside. That's why taking a chance on a newer round is just that a chance, just think about how many great rounds failed.... I do think some rounds are better and fail for whatever reason, and with that being the case IMO it's better to give up a little something to have a rifle/cartridge that will be around forever.

I think cartridges are one exception to the " build a better mousetrap...." phrase.
