RE: 300 RCM---338 RCM
I agree, we already have the .300 wsm, the clear winner, the SAUM's are dead! , =The .338 RCM does fill one gap.....since the .325wsm is an 8mm WSM......323.....they didn't make a .338WSM.....so they could snatch some biz by having essentially a .338 WSM....i know guys wanted to see a.338 wsm but they just couldn't make it work or somthing, so I see the .338 RCM maybe doing well, or at least has a chance/fills a gap. the .300 RCM though, i agree, why? if anythign I'd of relased the .338 RCM and if it was a succes maybe then....but I think many guys won't look past a 300 mag, 338+ is just too big/huge too many minds....
I'm a tad surprised they didn't make a .338 Ruger....ie the .375 ruger necked to .338? but the .338 RUM already exists, though I believe it is longer than the ruger.....nto certain though. or even a .300 Ruger.....take a bite out of the .300 RUM sales.....and .338 RUM sales....
.416 Ruger is what we need more than anything! There is an absolute gap in the .416 market....that could be filled and dominated, the ruger is the perfect case. There's the .416rigby and .416remington, and many say the .416 rigby will be the only one of the 2 in 15years, and a .416 ruger would be better than both of these! I know not many 416's are probably sold, but for a guy thinking about a .375H&H for africa, a .416 ruger could take a big bite from that market too. If ruger does end up making it....please offer it the rifle like the .458 lotts offered, ie something nice....
