, NY/Al, what I meant was once you get the confidence to do it and get proficient, it seems most never go back to compounds.
Just get you a cheap recurve sometime and start flinging arrows. Don't worry about all the details just look at the same spot and fling arrows. Concentrate on form over acuracy for a long time. The acuracy will come. Plus its just dang fun. Get some judos for your arrows and shoot at whatever you want. I shoot judos at dandylions in the back yard all the time. You can get a decent older bear recirve for under 100 so the cost is low. Get one around 40-45 and have fun.
You'll like it even if you decide not to hunt with it it will help with your compound shooting.
