See, I completely disagree. The second he gets thrown in jail and this all is out of the press we all forget about it. This guy NEEDS to be the poster father for hunting stupidity. If he gets thrown in the clink then his child's death is even more of a waste because we all pay to house his butt in jail.
Make this idiot keep the hunting world reminded by being in anti drinking advertising, make him travel to hunter safety classes around the country and let him cry in front of thousands as he tells them why drinking and hunting do not mix. Let him make an impact that will be felt by thousands for years to come and not thousands while it is the hot news topic that will soon be forgotten.
Video his testimony and play it at the hunters ed classes for years to come. Make him the poster child for all the stuff you mentioned. But dont let the crime go unpunished. It totaly sends the wrong message for ALL crimes. Thats whats wrong with our legal system....passive agressive teaches no lessons and doesnt hold him responsable for what he has done. IMO
