Well as a DNR employee for my respective state it all just really seems odd to me. I would say there are various reasons why he may have driven back to check your feeder and I sure would not have found fault with him for doing that. You have a feeder set up and it is during turkey season. Thats probable cause to me.

If you run to the newspapers likeso manyare suggesting,what are you going to give them? A picture of a conservation officer, checking a feeder, during turkey season, and your card is missing. I dont see any breaking story there. Lots of facts missing. I wouldn't run to the press right away.

If I was a bettin' man, I'd say they may be investigating you at the same time you are investigating them. Otherwise this guy just put his career on the line for an SD memory card.
