Default RE: making pot calls

ORIGINAL: mauser06

thanx swampcollie...pretty sure im a member there from when i was in shop and running the lathe...knew there was a forum full of call makers..just couldnt find it!

really think i just need to buy a hobby lathe...i could sell calls on ebay and forums and to buddies and pay for itself quick...i just love tinkering...

though, how many calls can one guy possibly need??? can only carry a couple at a time really...and can only run one at a time lol...but boy, i do love making calls and tinkering...hmmmmmmm

im looking forward to "settling down" and having my own house...first thing im doing is building me a small wood shop...wood working is a true love of mine...i LOVED shop class and with a little knowledge you can do ALOT of stuff..from home repair to decorating and trim work to making usefull things like calls and gun racks etc
I hear you there man! After i shot my buck this year i figured id make a plague for the euro mount instead of buying one. So i dusted off some of my dads tools, jig saw, router, etc, planning on making myself a decent looking plague quick. Next thing i know its 2 in the morning and im still out in the garage with 10 deer plaques, 5 turkey plaques, a beard board, and plans on making a gun rack. Im hooked now! Ive been playing around all the time ever since. It is very gratifying!
