We always called them "Sandpipers".....I didn't know they we're called "Killdeers"?
One day we went to the local Diner in town for a Car Cruise and there was one of those Killdeers with a few small babies running around the gravel parking lot off the side of the main concrete parking lot....my youngest Daughter asked if she could try to catch one of them and I said "OK".Well she chased the babies all over the lot and we all had a good laugh as she tried her best...well we started talking about old cars amoung ourselfs again when a few minutes later my Daughter walked up with one of the little babies cuped inside her little hands! [&:]
We all had a good laugh and I had her release the baby back to her Mother!
