I have only been around the M1000's, the HB version. Good for the bench or sitting in wait not the best stalking or hoofing itgun. Actually the onesI have been around haven't shot any better then the standard abolts,a few300wm, 1 300wsmand 1 7mm rem mag. Personally don't care for the M1000 in terms of feel in my hand, bit chucky...however off a bipod it works well. I believe the eclipse hunter is the same stock but with a sporter barrel vs the HB that the M1000's have???? If so i'd rather buy a abolt II hunter and then put on a aftermarket TH/lam stock.JMO. I assume you've handled one and like how it feels, since you said you've pretty much made up your mind, which trumps what others may feel.
