Well I started killing deer with a bow long before there were range finders or any of that. LOL I remember walking off distances a few times. LOL So, I've killed a lot of deer, but most haven't been ranged or anything around me ranged.

0 1. Ranging the deer itself
5 2. Ranging objects once you got in stand
50 3. Guessing the yardage and being correct(not ranged at all)
45 4. The deer was close enough the range didn't matter.
