Default RE: BEAR OR DARTON WHICH TO BUY

What do you know about either? The "just by what feels best" doesn't fly with me. They all give basic info and that helps, but there's more to the construction than most even care about but should.

I didn't see in my short search what the limbs were made of or how. I don't know what strings are on them. I did see what the riser is made of. The list goes on. Do you like or dislike any of these facts?. How about the customer service, what are people saying? Do they answer your calls and emails? Are there reacurring problems that are taken care of only after a complaint is made? Do people get rid of them quickly after getting them?

I like what Darton has done to eliminate cam lean, not keen on the harsh draw cycle. The brace is short, but the ata is good for a stand hunter. Don't care for the rubber grip although I like it for consistant hand placement and it is warmer than my wood grips. Solid limbs? Ever read Merlins reasoning behind using them? Their web site has a good faq section.

Did you know the Darton cable rod isn't metal and it isn't the same diameter?
