RE: Anyone else have this happen?
2 stories, none of them mine...
#1) One of my buddies had a good story about hunting within sight of a Sherton Tara Hotel and watching cars drive bye on the highway....
After he arrowed a 6 pointer, the sucka ran a complete circle around him while in his tree stand and the deer just tipped over,
within 10 feet of his arrow that was stuck in the ground from his pass through shot.
#2) Another buddy went to Pike County for an archery hunt this past year and had the big one come in after painstakingly watch this buck
push others out of the area and never presenting a shot. After 1 1/2 hours the big one passed bye and he let the arrow fly. The buck ran in
the opposite direction about thirty yards away, he couldn't believe he missed, so he knocked another arrow and let it go. Again he couldn't believe
he missed. After the morning hunt was over and lunch break was complete he and the guide to a stroll to check it out, no blood. So he climbed
back in his stand to tell the guide where the deer was and the guide found the first arrow with a pass through shot and lots of blood on the arrow.
Arrow #2 was found and the same thing, lot's of good blood. The buck had two heart shots and ran about 60 yards and he never new.
