I tend to agree with the others. Give it a rest for at least a few days. A week would be better. Then give it another try. Definitely do not overdo it at first and then if it still hurts I would go to a doctor. I had pulled a muscle in my forearm last September...right before our archery season. I, obviously, could not stop shooting for any extended period of time so it did not really stop being painful until the end of January.
Just be glad it happened now and not next fall.
