RE: Windy days
I killed a 19 pounder last year in 25 to 30 mph winds. It was a bad day to hunt, but I went anyway. The biggest problem that day for me was to tell which direction the gobbling came from. Fortunately he was close when I started my calling. If he is not close by, you probably won't hear him and you could spook him without ever knowing he was there.I usually can't stand hunting really windy days, but this is turkey hunting and I'm going anyway.
