Default RE: Long range hunting bullet for .45

Hoss, there isn't much out there that is heavier than 200 grains unless you're shooting a conical or powerbelt. Precision Rifle makes a .40 cal 220 & 240 grainer - www.prbullet.com/pts.htm

Those arethe only ones heavier than 200 grains that I know of. Powerbelts come in 275 grains, but they're a conical and not going to perform as well at long range because of lower BC and SD. PR also makes some .357 cal 195 grainers that have really good BC and SD for a muzzleloader bullet.

I haven't personally used any of these, but I would guess that the 220 or 240 grain PR bullet would be thebestlong-rangeperformer for a .45 if you can get themto group well.
