Default RE: winchester model 88

killed my first deer with a post 64 88 in 308...

really like them rifles. good shooting, handles nice..look good...the rifle was my grandfathers...he passed away when mom was real young...he and my grandmothers 2nd husband left behind a couple guns...i took care of them and cleaned them since i was really young..couple times a year i kept them oiled...only ever used the 88 that first year and fell in love with my grandfathers winchester m50 12ga semi auto...used it ALOT...grandma never gave them to me...i even tried asking a time or 2...sad to say it but they will most likely be given to someone else in the family, though im the only hunter and only one that wont sell them. those are really the only 2 worth anything and the only 2 i use or want...

would love to own an 88...but these days, if i found me a purdy one, i doubt id hunt with it...price just keeps on rising on them...wasnt long ago you could find one in great shape for 450-600$ EASILY...
